Android application

Secure identity at the point of device interaction.

The Xibernetix Android app gives makers, operators, and administrators role-specific access to devices and credentials. Operators can discover nearby equipment over NFC or Bluetooth and verify that a secure NFC tag belongs to their account before continuing.

Purpose

What the app does

The mobile app connects Xibernetix identities to physical-device workflows. It authenticates users, presents the workspace allowed by their role, communicates with nearby devices, and displays the outcome of secure tag authentication.

Identity

Secure account access

Register and sign in using the account methods enabled for the deployment, including passkeys and Google sign-in. Authentication establishes the role used to protect each workspace.

Devices

Nearby device interaction

Operators choose NFC or Bluetooth from Device Control. The app keeps transport details behind a guided scanning experience.

NFC security

Provision or authenticate

A supported factory-fresh tag is provisioned; an existing tag is mutually authenticated and checked against the signed-in operator.

Roles

One app, focused workspaces

Role Primary purpose Typical actions
Maker Maintain devices and maker-owned data. Review and manage devices, linked NFC tags, security events, and account security.
Operator Interact with assigned physical devices. Use NFC or Bluetooth controls, review NFC tags and events, and manage account credentials.
Administrator Oversee platform accounts and activity. Manage maker accounts and review platform security events.
Role boundaries matter. A valid sign-in does not grant every capability. Screens such as NFC Device Control perform an additional operator-role check before enabling hardware access.
